Window Display Contest

Window displays created by participating local businesses will be voted on by the public and surrounding business owners to win the heart of the community. Stroll the Village, visit your favorite shows, discover new ones and vote for your winning Winterfest window. The winning window will be celebrated with a big gold star that will be displayed for the remainder of the Holiday Season.

The Contest kicks off on Saturday, November 24th and goes through December 15th.

Each person who votes will be entered into a drawing for the grand prize, a $100 gift card to his or her choice of shops.

Write a letter to Father Christmas

Children will be able to leave letters for Father Christmas in the classic Victorian mailbox located on the Village Green stage with the forest of trees. Father Christmas's "Fairhaven Elves" will spirit the letters away for his perusal – but we hear they will sometimes sneak photos of the envelopes before delivering them, and they will share these on the Historic Fairhaven Facebook page – so be sure to keep watch!

Fairhaven Fa-La-La Caroling Competition

Falala Competition・December 22, 2018・Historic Fairhaven in Bellingham, WA

A joyful holiday music event benefiting the Historic Fairhaven Association and NW Youth Services.

Fa-La-La is fun! Join us for one of Fairhaven's most magical and festive nights. This heart-warming event brings people together to enjoy the music of the season.

Fa-La-La helps! The event raises funds for the Historic Fairhaven Association (HFA) which promotes Fairhaven Village while honoring and preserving its historic character. This year the HFA is partnering with Northwest Youth Services (NWYS) who collaborate with at-risk, runaway and homeless youth to foster self-reliance.

Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit as dozens of caroling teams sing their hearts out on the street corners of Fairhaven Village. The top teams then compete in a sing-off on the Fa-La-La Main Stage at the Fairhaven Village Green.

There are lots of ways to enjoy Fairhaven Fa-La-La! You can savor the music, volunteer to produce the event, or get in on the action and form a caroling team.

We need your help!

It takes many volunteers to bring life to Fairhaven Winterfest. Please join us in creating the wonder and magic of the season. Help with set-up or take down, greet our guests, and share the holiday spirit. Or consider a donation to support our festivities. Thank you so much!
